A Little About the Sea Elf Herself: Jessica Fusch
Seaelven Studios
I am a student at Metropolitan State College of
Denver seeking a BFA in photography. As of yet, I am
still a "film only" type of photograper, though I do
own a digital camera. Aside from photography, in my
spare time I enjoy drawing, painting, stained glass, and
other sorts of odd crafts, like egg dying.
As I have mentioned, I am film only. While I love the work that others do
digitally, my love is to live in the dark room all day long, working with
my hands. I love the look and the feel of black and white photographs
done in a dark room. I got into black and white photography in high
school, and it has been my love ever since.
Jessica's Photography: Film
The Digital Camera
The digital camera and I have an interesting relationship. At any point, I
can find myself bored or frustrated with the work I am doing, and I find
myself having a staring contest with my Kodak Z812 IS digital camera. Of
course, one of us has to blink, and it isn't the Kodak, because I have to
push a button to make it do that. At some point either the Kodak or I
will say, "Let's go for a walk!" So I get up and take it with me, and we
have all sorts of fun shooting and editing, and I find myself missing my
dark room, so I return home to get back in it, leaving the Kodak, lonely
on the shelf.
